Today, I made some super yummy, medicated Nutella-Banana Brownies. They are not just for me, but for my grower. I made mine with gluten-free flour, since I have a gluten sensitivity, but not full-blown celiac disease. I also used Turbanado, or "Sugar in the Raw", instead of brown sugar and used Stevia in place of the white sugar. Hey, Nutella's first ingredient IS sugar, so why keep adding more? Yeck!

And you know what? They are nice and fluffy. Tasty as hell, too. I used my home-made Canna Butter in place of the butter. I got the recipe for it off the internet, of all places. Yeah. And I used to think the only way  you could learn how to make Canna Butter, infused-oils, tincture and salves was to pay to take classes at Oregon Medical Marijuana Program(OMMP) sponsored Resource Centers. Nope. You let your fingers do the typing at Google or Bing and you're set, baby. And so far, so good. Things taste/affect me just as well as something I'd buy out of one our local Marijuana Dispensaries. I know I will be giving out samples to other patients to see how I like them. If they like them, I may be able to get a dispensary or dispensaries wanting to carry what I make. I know where to get the containers and I used to work at a local labeling company before and during the time I was pregnant with my daughter. I'm sure if I went back there, one or two old-timers who knew me would be there, maybe even the owners. Time will tell.

I'm sure they'd be good if you did your own versions/omissions like I did. I find that if you want to, you can find ways to enjoy a type of food, that is, you, yourself, know how to cook and/or bake. I've heard that some people only know how to do either one or the other. But I find that odd, or maybe just that I am as odd as I think I am! LOL! I can follow a recipe for just about ANYTHING, cooking or baking. I usually make it 100% by the recipe the first time. Once I do that, I taste it and then I will know what to do. But this time, it was just a gut thing to do the gluten-free flour and Stevia. And my gut won out! So I guess I've convinced myself that I do know what I am doing after all! Kind of nice when you finally figure that out and give yourself a break, isn't it?

Next, I try my hand at infused olive-oils. I don't just want to infuse them with my cannabis. I also want to add some of my fresh basil, oregano and thyme leaves, too. That way, it can be used as a base for a salad dressing, over noodles, as a baste for chicken or fish and for Italian or Greek stir-fry.

In Yamhill County, the County southwest of mine, is a town called Dayton. They have a winery and olive farm there. It is called Red Ridge Farms. I would like to get some of their extra-virgin olive oils and infused some of them. I like knowing where they oil came from and supporting the Oregon economy, to boot. So many really cool places around this state to take advantage of. I feel so fortunate to live here!
